FADVAN Advocacy Priorities

September 2018

FADVAN Advocacy Priorities - September 2018Seek increased funding for primary prevention programs to reduce the rate of domestic violence in our communities

Engage with frontline services, police and other first points of contact (ie schools, hospitals) to ensure that family and domestic violence is recognised and responded to at an early intervention level before it becomes a crisis

Increase connection with the DV Coalition to align advocacy goals around what is needed to address domestic violence at the coal face

Continue to advocate for awareness and improved responses in areas of intersectionality, including LGBTIQA+, CALD, Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander communities, and women with disabilities
